The Junior Council is new to the HDSB Student Senate this year! Junior Council members are school leaders in either grade 5 or 6 who represent the student voice for their K-5 or K-6 school to the Student Senate. What is Junior Council?
Junior Council members are entrusted to represent the hundreds of voices from their school's student body, articulating classmates' views at the board level. Junior Council members connect with students from all grade levels, backgrounds and interests to develop a comprehensive opinion to bring to the senate. Members are encouraged to seek different lived experiences and perspectives when speaking on behalf of their student population.
